My review of Last Night's Show
Last night was the first 10 singing duets. I'm just approaching how the contestant sang not the artist, plus how the overall duet sounded.
1) Walker- I thought it was a solid duet. Walker's sang in rhythm and his voice sat well in the song. I thought the duet was rock solid. No doubt would keep him. Grade B+
2) Kate- I thought the duet was held back by Kate, who sometimes sounded like she was singing background, and when you did hear her she wasn't very good, and that note at the end was brutal in my opinion. She should go but have been saying that round after round now. Grade D
3) Riley- Overall I thought the duet was decent I'm not riley biggest fan, but she sang decently last night. Her solo wasn't great on monday and duet was fine, so right now I didn't know if she should be one of the three gone at the end of the night. Grade B-
4) Uche- I have to be honest I disliked this duet as I think UCHE didn't do a very good vocal on the song. His solo was decent , but he wasn't very good in the duet. Another one I was on the fence on of whether he should be one of the three cut.Grade D
5) Madison- Hit a lot of good notes along the way, hit one really bad note in the middle of the song. This was far from her best. Though her solo last monday was excellent so no doubt she should be safe. Grade B-
6) Shawn- I continue to say I don't love his tone, the vocal wasn't very good, and quite frankly there was a problem with no singing at one point. His solo was okay. But I can't get over his tone, so I would send him home. Grade D+
7) Ashley- Had the best duet of the night and it was even close. It was flat out excellent in my opinion. Her solo was a little weak, but the duet pushes her through easily. Grade A
8) Bumbly- This was the worst duet of the night, we heard one of my many favorite songs, and in my opinion it was ruined. She should definetly go home. Grade D-
9) Laci- Overall a very solid duet. I really like Laci's voice, and once again she sounded very good. Grade B+
10) Laine- The duet itself was mediocre because I thought Laine's partner wasn't great. But Laine sounded solid as usual. And I'm judging based on Laine singing. Clearly he should go through. Grade B+

In reality I could of cut 5, there was only 5 in this group I wanted to really keep that is Madison, Laine, Laci, Ashley, and Walker in my opinion. So once they picked those 5 I felt the judges got it right in my opinion. The judges cut exactly who I would of cut. So will see the other 10 tonight. Time will tell. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
