thanks Maz...so if a company has 100,000 authorized shares before IPO...then at IPO they decide they will use 80k shares so that would be 80k outstanding shares...let's say they use 10k shares for insiders...so that means there is a float of 70k right? so how floats are so volatile? if the company does not issue more shares (20k authorized left) and the insiders doesn't move up or down...how float is so volatile? how a float can be 50k one day 30k the other if no new authorized shares were sent nor insiders shares were exercised..what i am missing?...
i guess reverse stock splits, stock splits are a factor...company buy backs? apart from that are there any other factors that affects float?
