They filed a form 15 with the SEC in May of 2017 to un-register with the SEC and go private. XNRGI will now have to file again with the SEC to register and become publically traded again (with a new ticker).

Investors were given proper notice (by that filing in 2017) and had plenty of time to unload their shares before trading was suspended and the ticker revoked. The SEC usually does that for an unspecified time period as a courtesy to existing shareholders.
