u can use margin for big boards but never on OTCs. give it a try, the trade will get denied. regardless, very smart not to use margin.

MMS cannot use your margin account. if you holding stocks in any market with a GTC sell order, those shares cannot be borrowed by retail to sell short because they are locked in a pending transaction. we don't worry about that in OTC since there is no retail shorting allowed, and those who do manage to try shorting an OTC (laughable) have to pay fees of up to $2.50 per borrowed share if the broker has inventory to lend. imagine how much that would cost to short 1,000 shares on a .14 stock? not equitable.

Again regardless, MMS do not need retail shares - ever - to move stock prices up or down intra-day.
