I haven't bought any yet, and may be too busy with other things for some time - but, it is always nice to think that some new American enterprise will perhaps succeed. Which, of course, employs people.
I can remember when Beach Buggys were the rage, and that industry provided fun, transportation - and jobs - for a lot of people. The OEMs and the parts & accesories folks all did a lot of business; and all the owners had a lot of giggles also. Too bad that was before the mini-microCap market were very well know. Like the Hummer, there is some company that is still building "..Duners.." for the US Military; used in Desert Storm, etc.
I actually built a 110HP/auto, Corvair-powered dune buggy from the ground up, using a frame from CorFrames in PA. Registered, inspected and licensed as street-legal, it was serial numbered JMH001. Henry Ford ain't got nothin' on me, can you dig it..!! Ha ha ha ha. We used to tow my kid up and down the beach in his toy Forumla-1 Indy Car using a ski-rope - with our Golden Retriever romping along behind; "...vroooom, vrooooooom, pocketa-pocketa-pocketa..."!!
This is going to be interesting to watch. Perhaps good old American CAN-DO will win the day, aye..!! Worked for the Wright brothers, and ol' Willy G; tee hee..!!
