Thanks both for clarifying. I had incorrectly assumed that Citi acquired 9 million shares as an investment and didn’t realize it was the number of shares they would hold upon conversion of notes. That changes the picture in my mind as to Citi’s possible intentions.

I still wonder though if at some point one or more big pharma companies targets PLX as an acquisition to boost their drug pipeline. Or does Chiesi’s involvement discourage other companies from trying to acquire PLX.

These stocks can be so surprising. They drag along for months or years and then suddenly one day they spike and never look back. Then people are regretting not buying more when they had a chance.
