I am the “miserable SOB” here that agrees with your assessment. Many here say just pick up the phone and wait for the after holiday PRs. Well phone calls will not get you that data and the after holiday PRs are non-existent. We will have no buying pressure until the 10Q if we are lucky but so many traders were burned in the previous two pops that many will stay away unless the 10Q is a beast and I see no indications that it will be.
