Ben Franklin once said "But in the world nothing can be said to be certain except death and taxes." And we know this in its own way to be true even though there are really many other things that we can be certain of. However...this morning ill focus on one...Death. Yes..we all know without a doubt that one day we are going to draw our last breath and this ole body of ours is going to die and we are going to slip into eternity. For those that may not know. We are a soul living in a human body. So the fact of the matter...there really is no death for us...our soul that is. When our body dies one of two things is going to happen. At that moment...right then and there in the blink of the eye. We are either going to go be with Jesus in perfect love...peace and joy...OR...we are going to go into some sort of torment in Hades and await judgement day where we will be cast into the lake of fire to burn for all eternity separated from the love of God. Yes...Eternity means FOREVER! Some will say..how can this loving God you speak of send someone to hell to burn in torment? Dont sound very loving! Well...God really isnt going to send you anywhere. All the years that we have on this earth we have the choice..the decision..to pick and choose where we will spend eternity. We can live for ourselves and do it our way and choose hell...Or...we can repent of our sins and invite Jesus into our lives and live for Him and spend Forever in perfect love and happiness in heaven. So i wonder...where have you chosen to spend eternity? The clock is ticking. Once we die there are no do overs..our eternal destination is set...where are you headed?...Oh...by the way...this is serious business!
