Ive been walking this earthly path for 62 years now...and yes...i have some health issues. But thats ok...ive got 62 years under my belt...im not suppose to be a banty rooster any more! And for me...i probably brought most of my health issues on myself...so..."i made my bed and now i can lay in it"...but...thats ok. Now...im not saying that 62 is old...its far from it...i do what i want...when i want...and to tell you the truth i dont know that i really feel any older than i ever did. As the ole saying goes..."i dont seem to have any new pains its just that the old pains seem to last a little longer now a days"! Theres another ole saying..."if id known that i was gonna live this long id taken better care of myself". Yes..i spent 25 long and hard self inflected destructive years from the age of 15 to 40 putting enough booze and dope into my body that would have most likely killed most of Cox's Army. Add on the car wreaks...disagreements at bars...playing superman...just being plain stupid because i thought i was indestructible....and i really dont know how i made it as long as i did..well of course only by Gods mercy and grace...however a good many of my friends...i mean a whole bunch...did not make it! So as i look back i know that God is in control of my life today...God has raised me up from that dark miry clay and set me on the foundation that cannot be torn down...and that be Jesus. If i die today i can truly say this with a warm and happy heart. These last 23 years of knowing Jesus as my Lord and Savior...what a beautiful 23 years it has been and what comes next...yep...heaven...its gonna be even better by a million fold and its never going to end. Thank You Jesus for these last 23 years of knowing you as my Lord and Savior and for whatever days...months...years...you have left for me here on planet earth!
