I think the timeline for edibles in Canada will be much sooner than October they have given 60 days for public consultations and then they can put through the legislation. Im pretty sure the liberals are up for re-election in October so they will want revenues filling up the coffers well before then. They original legislation said rules on edibles were going to be in place by October at the latest. The announcement of the new regs last week gives Jan and Feb ish for consultations and then a month for posturing because the opposition gains if they can delay it but the house is majority Liberal and everyone has already agreed to smoking is so drinks and goodies should be an easy pass especially since the world did not come crashing to an end in the 12 years of medical and 5 months of rec. My guess would be April or May.
