I believe the audits stopped because the auditors have to rely, in part, on management’s representations. It’s kind of hard, especially for a new auditor, to rely on mgmt’s representations when said mgmt is under investigation for fraud. I’m sure the delay was due to the auditor demands...they wouldn’t audit until the outcome of the investigation was known.
