randy...

Sjorgren's Syndrome (SS)..is generally though of to be an auto immune disease effecting the parotid salivary gland and the tear glands causing dry mouth and dry eyes it is a condition brought on by aging..

We know that Vascepa is very effective at relieving dry eye syndrome (DES) and would be a top selling drug for that indication alone...Whether it works in SS I don't know...but would guess there is a good chance it does...

Dry mouth is one of those conditions where I would bet there are a huge number of people who have it as part of aging that don't go to the doctor about it because it's not painful and mouthwash seems to handle it..Come to think of it since I started V it has not been a real problem...

SS can be associated with other auto immune conditions like joint pains or lung problems..My experience with so called auto immune disease and V is entirely anecdotal one case Scleroderma...Vascepa had a dramatic effect on on the condition..but this could be because scleroderma is mainly an inflammatory disease effecting the small arterioles...EPA may have less of an effect on conditions that involve the immune system..That is just speculation on my part..Lupis did not seem to improve on V and neither did sarcoidosis...

I saw one case of Porphyria where Vascepa had absolutely no effect and this was scary as it comes...
