For all the hype, my own portfolio has been pretty quiet. In the last couple of weeks I bought some AWF (income fund), some AAPL, some Euro ETF (FEP) and some PSP (private equity ETF). CREE (lighting) triggered a Sell on Tuesday.
What is surprising is that the percentage swings seem to be growing as though there may be more to come. The robots seem to be placing bigger bets. They may have scared off retail investors and are just trading with each other now. Self fulfilling activity but not beneficial to human investors.
Trading algorithms seem to concentrate mostly on technical analysis and are void of fundamental concerns.
Buy from the Scared; Sell to the Greedy.....
