Good question.

But the shared similarities of Alzheimer’s disease with Parkinson’s disease, Parkinson’s disease dementia, multiple sclerosis, and at least some forms of epilepsy are already known. They are central nervous system disorders almost surely involving or caused by mitochondrial dysfunctions. Nothing much else left to discover about associated similarities. Already known. Mitochondria that don’t support endoplasmic reticular production of properly-folded enzyme proteins.

And, Anavex 2-73 has been shown to restore normalized mitochondrial function (in the manner I’ve so frequently described). Restoration of homeostatic mitochondrial function allows the associated endoplasmic reticula to properly fold operating enzymes. Those control virtually all of the chemistry of a neuron, allowing normal neuron function (the disease-free state).

Get it done. Clinically test Anavex 2-73 against all of the other mitochondrial central nervous system disorders. Presently, clinical testing against Rett syndrome, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s is being arranged. The murine (lab rodent) data are extremely supportive for other CNS diseases. Now, test those, too, on real humans.
