My sister always made oyster dressing covered in....wait for it

oyster crackers. Never once was tempted to even sample it. My fave was tomato aspic, there was also some orange jello thing with some kind of bits in it.
Both the aspic and orange stuff had a serving of a sour cream like sauce with rat turds (capers) in it. And cranberries of course, two ways and sweet potatoes
for my dad and corn bread for all, two skillets full.
