Re, coordinated short attacks: It would indeed be time consuming, but if you were to look at the followers of that Twitter account, and then the followers of those followers, as well as the last group's "following list", (admittedly, a big number to cross-reference), I think that members the "AMRN, Organized Short Brigade" could be identified, at least to the degree that they are using Twitter as a coordinated communications hub.
