Down here there is another LAW, "severance pay" after my crew and i discovered (after being promised we would be going back to work recovering mercury} and then told we will not be. We saw wilfs new boat being outfitted in thousands of dollars and none of us received a dime in back pay or severance pay. Another LAW here is the thirteen month pay. BY LAW all employees are to receive a one months salary as a "Christmas Bonus" none of us received this. So we marched into the labor department demanding our unpaid severance pay. Why wouldn't we after being lied to that we would be returning to work. It was this promise of getting back to work that i used to keep my crew from going to the labor board, now we knew we were lied to and all my crew looked at me like i betrayed them.
I had to help the lawyer up off the floor from lhfao after he read the document wilf provided with signatures stating we were owed nothing. With two signed witnesses, wilf blum and wilf blum. This severance pay issue is not over. Its a very serious LAW in this country. And a LAW wilf broke that could very well come back to haunt him in any future endeavors.
