Sorry, your analysis of ending the placebo arm early is not reasonable. Of course if they had a registered defined trial people would not be guessing.
Do you have access to the interim trail criteria, seems like if that does not exist the whole interim thing is questionable. My guess is that it will be at least 2 years before any meaningful results are presented. Based on their past experience probably closer to 3 years.
