Yes he does have the ability to be freaky and I love it LOL. I play the short side though, I never go long TSLA just for that reason and its drops are predictable, they stall at an even point on a 5 minute chart and when two candles are even at the top for 2 candles she goes down.

But, yes, NIO will not be as predictable, but it will go into a pattern, not huge swings but enough to get to know it, it will get in channels and selling some then re-buying more at the low end of the channel will be possible and worth wile.
