IMO the "space race" is a colossal waste of money, especially US taxpayer dollars!

The billions of dollars spent searching for signs of life or ice on the moon, planning Mars missions or inspecting asteroids could be utilized to help a LOT of people here on the ONLY planet that matters to its inhabitants.

There are millions of people starving in Yemeni and elsewhere, US citizens without healthcare, yet we prefer to shoot our billions of dollars into outer space where they benefit almost no one (except contractors and their employees).

Astronauts eat three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Nutritionists ensure the food astronauts eat provides them with a balanced supply of vitamins and minerals. Calorie requirements differ for astronauts. For instance, a small woman would require only about 1,900 calories a day, while a large man would require about 3,200 calories. An astronaut can choose from many types of foods such as fruits, nuts, peanut butter, chicken, beef, seafood, candy, brownies, etc. Available drinks include coffee, tea, orange juice, fruit punches and lemonade.

Meanwhile, Yeminis are eating leaves to survive (still sounds better than Brussels sprouts and kale).

In a remote pocket of northern Yemen, many families with starving children have nothing to eat but the leaves of a local vine, boiled into a sour, acidic green paste.

That said, what captured my attention to KULR was the announcement of Nasa’s recent acquisition of KULR battery technology.

But we don’t know what the agreement was between KULR & NASA .
It’s entirely possible that KULR gave them the battery gizmos just so they could announce it in a PR and rake in more investor dollars (it did cause a significant rise in price).

“As the exclusive commercialization partner for this ground-breaking technology, we will be providing NASA with initial test cells this quarter and ramp up commercial production in the Q119”

They "provided" NASA with the cells, it doesn’t clarify if they SOLD them the cells.

Therefore, it’s entirely possible that the upcoming 10-Q or 10-K will show a loss if there’s a big write-off for donating expensive technology to the space agency with a twenty billion dollar budget.

I was thinking of jumping in before the next financial report, but now I’m having second thoughts.

Call me a hyper-skeptical cynic, but EVERY pinky I’ve invested in has either been an outright scam or pathetic POS that eventually went bankrupt.

Perhaps it’s just PTSD from prior stinky-pinky trauma, but I need more assurance than just the name NASA.
