breadth ticks
ticks (nyse and ndx) tend to lead and eventually (nyse) breadth which
is the true leader follows. so you get a new low or hi on ticks and then
adv-dec follows. Nyse ticks above 0 (bullish) or above 1000 or below -1000 indicate exhaustion. this is how i saw the bottom on the big selloff and posted it.
once you learn what the short term software does then it makes perfect
sense to see markets turn on value area hi or low or other locations. markets simply can not fall apart if ticks and breadth do not confirm
or continue to sell at extreme levels.
