Called my mother today, and talked about Vascepa, and that she might want to ask her physician to prescribe it for her for her arrhythmia. She asked how the stock was doing, and I told her that it had taken off, thanks to the positive REDUCE-IT trial which surprised many experts.

Mom reminded me that she'd bought 2500 shares on my rec five years ago, at $13/share. She's held them all this time, and is glad they're now in the black. She then asked more about what REDUCE-IT indicated, and so I went into some of the bigger picture about addressing systemic inflammation in addition to the CVD-specific results, and how it seems likely to have a broad spectrum of applicability. She said, "Well, I think I need to buy more, then."
