I’m looking for the DEA to announce CBD Rescheduling from Schedule I to Schedule III/IV late this week or early next week
The DEA’s CBD Rescheduling is a pretty huge event as it will officially legalize CBD — Schedule I drugs are federally illegal
The federal government finally admitting that CBD has medical value while at the same time finally legalizing it is a true milestone in the history of American Cannabis
They have 90 days to do so after the FDA approved Epidiolex (MJ-derived CBD) on 6/25/18
The DEA is likely to move CBD from Schedule I to Schedule III/IV in order to protect big pharma
Because technically speaking, once CBD’s medical value is established, it doesn’t belong on the Schedule at all because there is zero evidence it has any liability for abuse or dependence
Thankfully, Mitch’s Hemp Legalization bill that is currently part of The 2018 Farm Bill will take Hemp and all of its cannabinoids, including CBD, and remove the entire plant, once and for all, from the Schedule
