I was at a meeting for money managers and some interesting points were voiced.
Most like clients who have a long term horizon. Many, like me do not prefer new accounts if short term. All interviewed new clients before accepting their account. All have a certain minimum balance in order to manage their money. Most are regularly in touch with their clients. I prefer to send weekly and monthly statements. Most welcomed investors who had a knowledge in the market, sector of it. Most were opportunistic share buyers who traded around a core portfolio as the opportunity arose.(Sudden price drop due to no reason or price jump, that would not move onto a rally in the share price.) Several were "nibblers" like me. Good meeting of people of like interests. Food was great, too, lol.
