That sounds right up my alley, buddy and I had a place in the Catalina foothills overlooking Tucson and spent 3 years trying to get an Indian jewelry business going before the market fell out. We alternated 6 months with one traveling the reservations buying while the other ran a shop in Bucks county, Pa. I still have a couple of Tommy Singer [Tommy Half Moon} pieces. I loved the whole state of Arizona because much of it still was fucking nowhere in those days. The house we rented turned out to be owned by Joe Bonanno which we found out when we fell behind on the rent towards the end. Found out years later he was "retired" and living in a little nondescript ranch in a Tucson suburb. Our place was spectacular with a reasonable rent, the details of which wouldn't sound credible if I listed them.

Sounds like if you and I had run across each other in those days, it's highly likely we'd of been stepping in something deep.

I had a 650 Triumph Bonneville in Cocoa Beach in the mid 70's. Being on the east coast we were right on the beach in the path of prevailing winds and the salt air melted that thing to the ground in a year having no garage and parking in front of the house so no one would be tempted to finger it.

I'd like to have it back as they're going for a small fortune now among nostalgia collectors. She was one angry grizzly tho' as it nearly broke my leg a couple of times going out to start her in the morning, still sleepy, and that compression would send my knee flying to my jaw.

My first and only other bike was a used Honda 305 which the guy had put ape hangers on, I'm sure in the beginning I thought I looked cool, it felt cool, but bikers probably looked at me and said "look at that dork ha ha!" It sure was comfortable tho' running around southern Florida, mainly on the Alligator Ally back and forth between between Cocoa Beach and Clearwater, mosquitoes feeling like bb's to the face at 80. Reliable too, none of my inexperienced abuse could kill it
