Something that has intrigued me. The criminals say they are broke. The DOJ said they owe $7.3 million. They filed an appeal saying the Restitution Amount should only be $5.8 million.
If they are broke why should they care if the amount is $1 million or $20 million?
I think they have hidden money and want to save as much of it as they can, in case it's ever discovered.
It won't take a lot for us to get a substantial amount back. I got 1/3 of my loss back from the $1.3 million the SEC got from Dial's partners in crime, Golden Gate Investments.
