What's the real purpose of the new facility?

Seen so many different reports about what PLUG is intending to do with the new facility in Clifton Park that I realize that that is exactly its purpose. It will give them the ability to adapt as required to meet both supply demand and new market volumes.

Initially I think I saw a reference to being handling the inbound materials for the Latham factory and I suspect it will also be used as a warehouse for finished goods before shipping to Amazon/Walmart though the next 4 years of high volume deployments.

I am sure that with the current volume there is too mach space in Latham taken up with both inbound parts (especially the tanks and metal cases for GenDrives) and the completed units.

then looking more into the future (6 months) they need to be able to expand to start making proGen units for Workhorse and may be GSE GenDrives for Charlatte. Is there space in Latham for those small volume production capability or should it be in the new facility? should they make space in Latham by moving finished goods testing facility to Clifton Park?

There is no answer now but they will have options - that is the real benefit. They don't need an answer now as all focus is on volume manufacturing for Amazon - but once they hit that they need to maintain the volume for 3 or 4 more years...

All set for the $500m/yr revenues in 2020/2021 forecast.
