Yes, and 2017 is the last year you can re characterize a Roth back to a roll over. That being the case, I would really benefit by seeing financing announced prior to the October 15th tax filing deadline. I'll pay the taxes if I see the share price take off before the deadline after a financing announcement otherwise I'm tempted to recharacterize my Nio shares back to an IRA Rollover to avoid paying taxes on Roth if the share price hasn't taken off by then.
