Unbelievable how people will fall for these scams, are they just naive or uber-greedy?
Preying on the elderly though is in an entirely different category and should have dire consequences. My Granddad passed away a decade ago, and since I dealt with his bills etc., I still get scam emails/letters promoting everything from “super real estate deals” outside the U.S. that one can buy sight unseen, Nigerian millionaire schemes, and every other con game one could think of.
I’m seeing numerous scams run out of Connecticut lately, I suppose scammers can live anywhere.
”According to prosecutors, 56-year-old Connecticut resident Daniel Arnold would locate mailing lists containing information on thousands of consumers and provide these on a monthly basis to the operators of a scam involving letters supposedly written by the French psychic Maria Duval.”
