You miss the point. A person who is accomplished and could do anything in his retirement is choosing to work at Mi/Fm. Not a new a new Collage grad who has no life experience. You can throw rocks all you want, but he is investing his time and energy here, AND he has experience in this field.

Can he right this ship? Who knows. but it would seem there is one more quality guy who should know now at Mi/Fm working to AND is NOT getting paid a 100k to do it, that adds weight to "Something is going on here" narrative
