Shorting is actually the opposite. Shorting is borrowing shares at a higher price and then buying back at a lower price and returning them. Today’s volume is so tragically low it is not done by shorting, no one smart would waste their time on this unless they were trying to trigger a stop sell.

This is simply stock price manipulation by a retail putz playing mind games.
