Normally a cross is a pre arranged trade between the company or a large debt holder with someone that can come in a little cheaper than normal while buying a large amount of shares....in the belief that the person buying the shares will be able to help push the stock higher in the near future.

I used to work with a gentleman who put together promos. He would cross us shares at a 30% discount or more and then take the stock right back up, and then the promo would begin. It was an amazing way to make money.

Reason being it is very hard to buy millions of shares without taking the stock price way up, and obviously most groups coming in to help don't want to do that.

Most of the time when you see a cross of that size....very good things are coming.
