I am in now and have been so since 1995! I have observed the gap thing for years and have never played it as I have been afraid to let go of my IDCC shares! Today, I see that there was almost a full recovery to unchanged! I would not be at all surprised if some entity is accumulating shares. The propensity of stocks to sell off and close gaps would provide an excellent opportunity for someone to accumulate cheap shares before making a tender offer!

If no pending offer, I still expect the gap to close. The odds favor a gap closing. For me to try to trade it would be "Cute" and I would probably lose my shares before a huge rise.
