Gene needs to think out of the box. This new Amazon, Buffet deal is the shape of things to come. They are just itching for something to improve the state of health care. So why not start with emerging technologies that are ripe for the future. Companies like GTHP just need that push, funding , help whatever you want to call it to get it started. If all it takes is money to get it to the FDA to approval, well these guys have plenty of it. Gene needs to start a letter writing campaign to CVS, Walgreens, Amazon, all of them to find a partner to help make it happen. Nothing wrong with that just get it done. SO whats the worst that can happen? They say they aren't interested. Just keep moving working it until a deal can be made. Whats not written here is that no matter how hard the FDA is working with, other countries can be more frustrating, they are on their own time, money exchange issue, shipping, etc etc lots of moving parts. So I think Gene has several options being the health care industry is ripe for innovation. Just need to put it in front of somebody's face that matters.

This is an excerpt pasted from the news about the Amazon, Buffett, JP Morgan deal ....

There is little doubt that Dr. Gawande will be able to outline what he has said he believes are the system’s failings. “Tapping Atul Gawande to head the new venture is a very positive sign,” said Brian Marcotte, the chief executive of the National Business Group on Health, which represents large employers. “He is a thought leader, thinks outside the box, and is passionate about fixing what ails our health care system.”

While Dr. Gawande does not have business experience, he has spent his career focusing on how to improve care for the sickest patients, said Dr. Bob Kocher, a venture capitalist who advised President Obama on health care policy. He pointed to Dr. Gawande’s ability to attract other individuals to the venture.
“He understands the health care system as an insider,” Dr. Kocher said. “He has been a truth-teller.”
But Dr. Kocher said that Dr. Gawande’s public health experience in emphasizing preventive care is unlikely to yield the immediate savings companies like these three want. “He is going to have to come up with a whole new tool kit,” he said.

The challenge he and the rest of the country face is how to overcome the pricing power of big hospital groups that dominate certain markets, and drug companies, Dr. Kocher said. Employers have also been resistant to limiting the choice of hospitals and doctors for their workers.
