This premise is false... at best, a great oversimplification of reality!

Just because a business' piece of hardware is depreciated from an accounting standpoint, does not make it either obsolete or non-functional!

Understand that the cost of birthing a charger in the real world is composed of not just the cost of the charger itself, but the permits, the location agreements, and the electrical and concrete work required to make that charger work.

Those costs usually greatly exceed the cost of the physical charger itself!

When a charger becomes "obsolete", the site does not!

Generally, all the site needs is a new charger to be installed at a small fraction of the original "birthing" cost!
