So why didn't Air Products try to sell the patent licenses to Tesla? They just didn't think that Tesla might be interested in a great lithium battery technology or they didn't think Telsa could pay as much as ALYI or they just didn't think and sold this technology to the first firm that came along without shopping it? Also, if Nissan tested this technology and it was valuable why didn't they buy it? So the story we are supposed to believe is that Randell Torno, who has no background in technology, somehow recognized a hidden gem that firms actively in the industry missed and that somehow Nissan engineers who had tested the technology and Air Products engineers and lawyers who developed and were intimate with the technology also missed? I think the more likely story is that ALYI went looking for cheap patents that would validate a new story about "we're in a hot area and no longer that old company that didn't work." What a real company would do, rather than PR this out to OTC stock traders, would be to have negotiations with Tesla and then file an 8-K when they had an agreement with Tesla.
