Cheniere Energy Posts Q1 Beat, Lifts FY Guidance - Shares Up 1% Pre-Bell

08:53 AM EDT, 05/04/2018 (MT Newswires) -- Shares of Cheniere Energy (LNG) were 1% higher pre-market Friday after the energy company reported better-than-expected Q1 results and raised its full-year outlook.

Q1 EPS was $1.50, up sharply from $0.23 per share in the year-ago quarter, which was well above the $0.64 per share consensus of analysts polled by Capital IQ.

Revenues jumped 85% year-over-year to $2.24 billion, handily beating the $1.78 billion mean estimate.

For FY18, the company expects adjusted EBITDA of $2.3 billion to $2.5 billion, up from a prior view of $2.0 billion to $2.2 billion. It also expects distributable cash flow of $350 million to $550 million, up from a prior outlook of $200 million to $400 million.
