A very interesting article and enlightening to me regarding how well prepared Taiwan is. I've thought of them as sort of a thorn in the mainland's finger that could easily be extracted.

And to support them is not a drain of USA resources, but the opposite, they pay their own way and the USA ends up a well paid merchant.
