America the Fat...

Orlando fat women outnumber their thin sisters about four to one...Why wouldn't they. The local leading supermarket in the Orlando area is Publix...There is a Publix, seemingly, on every other street corner. In addition to selling food in bulk they sell prepared food which I am told by people who run supermarkets is the most profitable section of the stores....They sell fried chicken...lots of fried chicken..Fried chicken is a high calorie item..

Fat people have two ideas that are common to most of them which I think are incorrect..The first is that exercise can overcome the effects of over eating...Exercise is good for your health to an extent this is very age dependent...Exercise burns calories but the trade off is not that favorable...You have to burn about 3,500 Kcals to reduce one pound of fat...The best way to lose weight is cut your caloric intake below your daily burn and remain there for a long time..

TV ads are brutal...Look at Burger King and others with those super loaded burgers (parodied so well on the Simpsons)...The FDA needs to make these fast food guys put disclaimers on the idea you need to eat whoppers...Being a big fat slob not only makes you an eyesore it raises the health costs for all of us.

Fat people hate sugarfree drinks...and the they claim artificial sweeteners are unhealthy, Well somis being 20# overweight..A good rule of thumb is try not to drink anything that contains calories,,That applys particularly to "smoothies"...If you own a blender...Throw the thing out...You like fruit eat it in its natural state...You will absorb the same number of calories you do in a smoothie...but you will absorb them more slowly and that will cut down your insulin levels...and your appetite..
