I can’t disagree with anything you said. It’s not a knock on PMCB or CiAB. NOBODY (including viacyte or any alginate) has been able to keep any type of encapsulated insulin producing cells alive long term (outside of rats who’s immune system is virtually nonexistent compared to a human).

PMCB has an incredibly delivery system. I believe we are going to see incredible results and make a fortune in the solid tumor arena. It remains to be seen what happens with Type 1D and CIAB, but it’s a long Long road for everyone in this arena. Nobody has succeeded with humans and encapsulated cells without immunosuppression to date. It’s not just PMCB, it’s everybody else as well.

PMCB may find a way with Diabetes or they may not, it’s a long shot! However we have something amazing in our hands with solid tumors. I believe this is going to be what sets us off. Anything that happens after that is a plus.
