Incorrect. It was never a river of oil. It was an old river channel that was thought to perhaps run through the JDZ that could have formed the basis for oil generation and accumultion. That theory was disproved by by the 5 dry holes that were drilled using that archaic geologic model.

The idea that oil runs in rivers beneath the surface of the earth is absurd and is laughable. I am shocked that anyone investing in an oil company would believe such nonsense.
