Commercial use of our industrial engines may not have the performance characteristics that we expect. Similarly, until the Coates Engine ® has been in use for a substantial period of time, there is no certain way to ascertain its expected longevity. Superior performance and longevity are essential elements of our ability to penetrate the power generation and other markets. Our failure to do so would have a material adverse effect on our business and, unless remedied on a timely basis, we might be forced to close our operations.
