Last night I was attending the San Jose Sharks hockey game as a guest of one of our main IT vendors. They have a suite. The people in the suite next to us were drinking pretty heavy and as the game progressed they started speaking louder and louder. I overheard two of the better dressed occupants of that suite discussing what they both agreed on was a foregone conclusion that Amazon will be purchasing Blue Apron BEFORE the end of April. The heated discussion revolved around if Amazon will be the purchaser or Bezos himself for his wife to manage as a “hobby”.
Has anyone else heard any rumblings of a buyout?
My roommate in grad school has a friend who is one of Bezos lieutenants. He gave my former roommate a “heads up” prior to the Whole Foods buyout. We both cleaned up. Former roommate low six figures; my nuts weren’t that big, but seeing the profit he made, if we get the “nod” I am gonna strap on a pair!
We should know something before noon!
