His employment only ended only a few days ago and the only way you would have known that is to of had a greater connection to the company than just an investor. Are you sure you are just an investor? As for the Doctor, the services he brought in or provided did not offset the amount he was being paid. This was a know brainer decision for termination. The services that this doctor overseen are sill offered and covered by another staff member. No sense in having multiple employees providing the same services when one can do it. The goes back to being good for our bottom line.
