"the results of these studies are NOT publishable in a peer-reviewed journal. The sample size in these latest studies are just pilot studies." - that is NOT true. Peer-reviewed journals don't care about the sample size. And again, the sample size in Dr. Smith study is good enough for a statistical 't-test'- if you know what I meant. But again Journals are NOT interested in publishing negative results - So your guess is as good as mine!
