I do not know if AOI had equity in 12A, I suspect not or their name would have been included in the announcement. Since it is just below the blocks that are to produce the oil (the fields seem to be very close to the block border) there may be some oil at the northern end of the block. But the need for money to drill offshore in Namibia may be the reason.
