Problem is when you face the AL elite Hou, CLE, and NYY they have these things to go along with the thumpers in the middle of the lineup when you face them head to head you get outmatched I'm not saying for a second you don't have a chance at a wildcard as is and being competitive I'm just saying you won't be a real contender unless devers develops into that big bat and they sign jd. In fact a team I really Like this year is the angels especially if otani is as good as advertised. I think they could be real good. Right now the red sox and mariners are kind of like the 5th best team and the mariners are 6th best, but it is a slim margin between the two. if they sign JD I would feel more comfortable if I was a red sox fan right now to me them the angels and mariners will be battling for two spots. good news is I don't see much else I like in the al after that.
