As a nice Canadian boy I understand the fast-tracking concept and I am well aware that US government wants to fast-track medical devices with potential. North of the border we have Health Canada and their policy is "nobody move, nobody gets hurt!" or we will get it done when we are totally confident that it won't cause a death.
Health Canada is up to their eyebrows trying to fast-track rec marijuana legalization but I really get the sense that it will be back-burnered until we have some roadside tests for police. They have allocated $80 million to keep our roads safe and are leaning towards the swab/saliva despite their knowledge of a THC breathalyzer in the future.
You know that I think BLO and BTH are the same device with different purposes, why I am not sure but that is the way it has been set up, I think for expedience in getting the thc detector generating some cash.
Either one could better itself with more detection capability for more than just thc and the down card is we don't know if the BTH will get first approval. Back to MS is the go-to science for analyzing a lot of things.
