Houston is a key market now in Hip Hop as you probaby know GFK. I know RMDG has hit the radio promotion pretty hard there recently with some good success. Giorgio invested time and money to have a good presence there. I know Fred Rollins is down there every month. Remember, they did the Texas Beach Party with Mike Jones, Chamillionaire and alot of other southern supertars. He put Roc and Kuntree on the roster as well to introduce them to Houston. They also did some pre concert parties with the Source magazine that bothe had Roc and Kuntree performing as well. All these shows went well which is good for RMDG. Houston is by far, the largest market in Hip Hop today. An artist can go platinum in Houston alone. Its the new Atlanta in Hip Hop. I know they are getting alot of "love" as they say in the biz by the people down there for the shows they did and they also gave the local church a small donation and had Roc meet with some kids there too. If they get regular spins in that city you will see a substancial spike in sales from that region alone. Again, a calculated move by G.
