Good point about difference between Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. Yet, they likely should be closely correlated with respect to price movement. Blockchain is the conduit for cryrocurrency transactions. So, problems like security breaches and such would hit both parts. However, once the Blockchain matures beyond cryrocurrency then no so much.
